A Houston, Texas, police officer is being treated at a local hospital after being shot on Monday. At approximately 11 am, officers were called to respond to a dispute over a parking space. Upon arrival, officers were told by the caller that she had been in an argument over a parking space with a male, and that he had spat in her face during the argument. Officers went to the man’s apartment to speak with him, but upon arriving at the door the man opened fire on the officers, striking one officer twice, once in his arm and once in the abdomen, which according to police was stopped by his ballistic-resistant vest. The 26-year-old male was apprehended by other officers at the scene without incident.
