The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) hereby advises that C.I.A. Miguel Caballero model CLASSIC PLATE has been suspended from the NIJ Compliant Products List. Following the completion of an ongoing evaluation, the compliance status of this model will be reassessed.
Law enforcement and corrections officers currently wearing this model of armor are encouraged to continue wearing it during this suspension period.
