Two Horseshoe Bay, Texas, police officers were shot early Friday morning. At approximately 2:30 a.m., Horseshoe Bay officers were called to respond to a domestic disturbance. As the officers approached the residence, they heard two people arguing loudly inside the house. The officers ordered the residents to step outside, but one of the occupants fired a shotgun through a window at the officers. One officer was struck in the face by shotgun pellets; the second officer was struck in his ballistic-resistant vest, left arm and both hips. The male resident who fired the shotgun was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges; the female resident was transported to a local hospital for an unrelated medical condition.
Both officers were treated at a local hospital and released.
