A Phoenix, AZ police officer who was shot during a recent response to a domestic violence incident that also left a Phoenix PD Commander dead and another officer injured, credits a protective plate recently given to her by her father—himself a Phoenix PD reserve officer—with helping to stop a round that impacted the plate and the ballistic armor she was wearing underneath it.
