A Jacksonville, Florida Sheriffs SWAT team member attempting to serve a high-risk arrest warrant with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents was shot multiple times by the suspect. According to Sheriff Mike Williams, because the officer was wearing body armor “the vest saved his life today without a doubt”, and he only suffered minor injuries. The officer was treated at a local hospital and released later the same day.
